Primary care model premium for an office visit made solely for a COVID-19 vaccine, billed instead of G700.

What it covers

Q593A is the COVID-19 vaccine sole visit premium for patient enrolment models, listed in Appendix Q (AQ3). Eligible models include FHO, FHN, GHC, RNPGA, WHA, SJHC, TPCA and BSM, plus GP Focus Care of the Elderly, GP Focus HIV, Homeless Shelter and Sioux Lookout agreements (AQ3).

Appendix Q is for information only and is not part of the Schedule; the primary health care fact sheets have full billing details (AQ1).

Billing rules

• Billed in place of G700 when the patient comes to the office only for the COVID-19 vaccine (Agreement p.72 §11.8).
• Payable for enrolled and non-enrolled patients (Agreement p.72 §11.8).
• Only one of Q590 or Q593 per patient per year (Agreement p.72 §11.7–11.8).
• The FHO Agreement and Appendix Q list different amounts; check your remittance advice for the amount paid (Agreement p.72; AQ3).
