Physiatrist's in-patient assessment for ongoing management of a complex neuromuscular disease, on the same terms as A510.
What it covers
A complex neuromuscular assessment is for the ongoing management of generalized peripheral neuropathies, myopathies, neuromuscular junction diseases or motor neurone diseases, where the complexity needs continuing management by a physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist (A176). C510 is the hospital in-patient listing, subject to the same conditions as A510 (A178).
It is not for uncomplicated neuromuscular problems such as carpal tunnel syndrome, Bell's palsy or asymptomatic diabetic neuropathy (A176).
