33
Description
Approved

Explanation

Updated October 26, 2026

OHIP approved this claim. It's an informational code; there is nothing to fix.

What it means

Code 33 means the claim was approved. The Ministry's list gives no more detail than the single word "Approved".

It is informational. Check the amount paid on the line as you would for any other paid claim.

How to fix it

  1. Check that the amount paid matches what you expected for the service.
  2. If the amount is lower than expected, look for other explanatory codes on the same claim. If you believe OHIP got it wrong, send a Remittance Advice Inquiry (RAI) through eSubmit, or on form 0918-84, within 7 months of the RA date, with your supporting details.

Don't resubmit if

  • The claim was approved. Sending it again would be a duplicate.

How APEX handles it
