Description
Mobile site number required

Explanation

Updated October 26, 2026

EF9 means the claim needs a mobile site number. Add the mobile site number and resubmit.

What it means

EF9 is one of the Ministry's Integrated Community Health Services Centre (ICHSC) error codes. It means the claim needed a mobile site number and didn't have one, so it was rejected.

How to fix it

  1. Find the mobile site number for the location where the service was provided.
  2. Add it to the claim.
  3. Resubmit. Resubmit within three months of the service date if you can. If that window has passed but the claim was first submitted on time, use the Ministry's stale-dated resubmission process.

Don't resubmit if

  • You don't have the mobile site number yet.

How APEX handles it
