Add-on to E132, E114 or E115 when cataract extraction with lens implant is done in the same eye during the glaucoma surgery.
What it covers
E110 is added to a glaucoma procedure (E132 filtering surgery, E114 plate and tube drainage, or E115 minimally invasive glaucoma or bleb surgery) when cataract extraction is also done. It covers all types of cataract extraction by any procedure, and includes extraction of the native lens and insertion of an artificial intraocular lens in the same eye (Y4).
Billing rules
- Only payable with E132, E114 or E115 (Y4).
- The lens extraction and intraocular lens insertion in the same eye are part of E110 (Y4).
- A pre-operative consultation for cataract surgery under local anaesthesia and/or IV sedation is paid only when the chart shows it was medically necessary (GP18).
- Age premiums of 10% to 30% apply for patients under 16 (GP64).

- E132, E114 or E115, the glaucoma procedure it is added to (Y4).
- E984 when the glaucoma procedure follows a previous filtering procedure (Y4).
Common rejections
- ADF: OHIP describes this as 'Corresponding procedure invalid, omitted or paid at zero': this add-on is only paid with E132, E114 or E115 on the same claim.
