OHIP made an interim payment while the claim is under review. Wait for the review to finish before acting.
What it means
Code 54 means OHIP made an interim payment while the claim is under review. The final amount may be different once the review is complete.
Any later change will appear on a future RA, often as an adjustment.
How to fix it
- Note the interim amount.
- Watch later RAs for the final decision on the claim.
- Send any records the Ministry asks for.
Don't resubmit if
- The claim is still under review. A new claim would be a duplicate and can be returned.
