What it means
EP7 means the fee code must be billed alone, but the claim had other services on it. The claim was rejected.
Common causes
- A code that must be billed alone was added to a claim with other services
How to fix it
- Put the code on its own claim.
- Put the other services on a separate claim.
- Resubmit both. Resubmit within three months of the service date if you can. If that window has passed but the claim was first submitted on time, use the Ministry's stale-dated resubmission process.
Don't resubmit if
- The claim still has other services on it.
