Not registered for telemedicine
The claim was billed as telemedicine, but the Ministry has no telemedicine registration for you on the service date.

- ET1
- Description
- Not Registered for Telemedicine
Explanation
Updated October 26, 2026
ET1 means the claim was billed as telemedicine, but you aren't registered for telemedicine. Check how the visit should be billed.
What it means
ET1 (Not Registered for Telemedicine) means the claim was billed under the telemedicine program, but the Ministry has no telemedicine registration for you on the service date.
The July 2026 Schedule of Benefits has no telemedicine (OTN) fee rules. Virtual care is now billed with the in-person code plus K300A (video) or K301A (telephone), or with A101/A102 for limited virtual care.
Common causes
- A telemedicine tracking code or the OTN service location indicator on a claim from a physician who isn't registered
- An older telemedicine billing template still in use
How to fix it
- Check whether the claim has a telemedicine tracking code or the OTN service location indicator.
- For virtual visits, bill under the current virtual care rules instead: the in-person code with K300A or K301A, or A101/A102.
- Resubmit the corrected claim within three months of the service date. If that window has passed but the claim was first submitted on time, use the Ministry's stale-dated resubmission process.
