Sole delivery premium: +100% of the labour and delivery fee when it is your only delivery that calendar day, up to 25 per physician per fiscal year.

What it covers

E411 is the sole delivery premium in the Labour - Delivery part of the Obstetrics section. It is an add-on that increases the labour and delivery fee by 100% (K7).

Billing rules

• Payable only with P006A, P009A, E414, P018A, P020A, P038A or P041A (K7).
• Only when it is the sole delivery in the calendar day (K7).
• Maximum 25 sole delivery premiums per physician per fiscal year (K7).
• C989 is a different premium: the special visit for the first obstetrical delivery in a calendar day with sacrifice of office hours, one per physician per day (K7, GP78).
• FHO: E411A is on the list of codes Income Stabilization physicians may bill at full fee-for-service (Agreement p.99, §3.6).

Often billed with

• P009 attendance at labour and delivery or P006 vaginal delivery, the fee it increases (K7).
• E409 (evenings, weekends and holidays) or E410 (nights) for a non-elective delivery in those periods (GP103-GP104).
