J9 means the patient's OHIP coverage has been reinstated. Submit their claims as usual.
What it means
J9 is an information message. It tells you the patient's coverage has been reinstated, so you can submit claims for them in the normal way.
It usually follows an earlier warning such as J8.
How to fix it
- Submit any held claims for this patient, within three months of the service date if you can.
- If earlier claims were refused for lack of coverage during the reinstated period, check whether they can now be resubmitted or need an RAI.
How APEX handles it
