OHIP Billing Submission Cut-off Dates Schedule

The Ministry of Health publishes a monthly date by which it can guarantee that MC EDT claims will be paid the following month. That is the safest deadline to use.

Recent remittance files tell a slightly different story: their report periods have usually continued until the last Thursday of the month. We show that later date as the estimated true cut-off. It is useful context, not a Ministry guarantee. The actual cut-off is where the remittance period really ended. It matches the estimate unless a remittance file showed otherwise: March 2026 ran to March 31 and September 2026 ran to September 25.

The next MOH proposed cut-off is November 18, 2026. The estimated true cut-off is November 26, 2026.

The Ministry schedule gives the guaranteed dates. The 3 remittance examples below show June, July, and August billing periods ending later, on the last Thursday of each month. The cycle end date is highlighted on each screenshot.
