Is MCEDT down right now?

The MOH Database API row above is checked when you open this page. If it shows an outage, MCEDT isn't accepting or returning files, and claims sent now won't reach the Ministry until it's back.

How do I log in to MCEDT?

MCEDT login goes through the Ministry's GO Secure account (OBS BPS Secure). Register for GO Secure, then add a designee such as Verismo AI so your billing software can send claims and download reports through MCEDT for you.

What should I do during an MCEDT outage?

Wait for the status to return to operational, then submit again. Watch the monthly cut-off: claims must reach the Ministry by the cut-off to be paid on the next remittance, and within three months of the service date to avoid being stale-dated.

Does APEX check health cards?

Yes. When you type or scan a health card in Create Claim, APEX checks the health number and version code with the Ministry's Health Card Validation (HCV) service and fills in the date of birth. A wrong OHIP version code on a claim comes back as error EH2.
