What it covers

E084 adds 45% to subsequent visits and to C121, C122, C123, C124, C126, C142, C143, C882 or C982 provided on a Saturday, Sunday or holiday by the most responsible physician (MRP) (GP47).

Examples of eligible subsequent visits are C002, C007, C009, C132, C137, C139, C152, C157 and C159 (GP47).

Billing rules

Only payable if you get no direct or indirect pay from a hospital or hospital foundation for in-patient clinical services, or that pay has been reduced by the E084 amount (GP47).
Not payable for palliative care visits to patients in designated palliative care beds in long-term care institutions, and not applicable to any other service or premium (GP47).
FHO: E084A is a Schedule 3 code that counts toward the Special Payment for Hospital Services (Agreement p.66 §8.5, p.91).
